7/15/04 - Stephen Hawking has announced that he has solved the black hole information paradox
that has puzzled scientists since 1976 when he postulated that when a black hole emits
'Hawking Radiation', all information about the matter that fell into the it

hole information paradox and I want to talk about it', he has asked the International Conference
on General Relativity and Gravitation for a slot to present his findings in Dublin on 7/21/04.
If he is correct, it means he has lost another bet, this time for an encyclopaedia...
